Since 1999, the BMZ has been funding projects with an impact. Kaltwasser strengthens visibility among partners, politicians and the public.
Clean water in Ukraine, better harvests in Malawi, female founders in Ecuador, sustainable supply chains in Thailand: Since 1999, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has been funding entrepreneurial projects that combine economic and development policy goals. The Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) implements the program – with up to 150 projects in over 60 countries annually. With a combination of educational work, targeted communication and strong storytelling, we bring the projects into the relevant set of business, politics and the public.
Since 2023, Kaltwasser Kommunikation has been supporting the GIZ and the develoPPP programme. We are helping the communications team to effectively tell the programme's diverse success stories, strengthen its relevance and position it as a leading platform for sustainable investment in developing and emerging markets.
to sustainably strengthen and raise the profile of the develoPPP-programme among potential corporate partners, in the political arena and among the general public.
To achieve this goal, we shed light on the stories behind the projects. They tell of people who courageously seize entrepreneurial opportunities and thereby develop developmental potential and lasting impacts. In doing so, it becomes clear what concrete impact the investments achieve, for example through new jobs, sustainable technologies and supply chains, or improved living conditions.
We use storytelling to communicate lasting impressions of the global impact of the develoPPP-projects. We reduce complexity and prepare the content in a way that is easy to understand and tailored to the target group in the appropriate formats:
With this combination of educational work, targeted communication and strong storytelling, we create understanding and strengthen trust in the impact and sustainability of the projects supported. This highlights the potential of linking the private sector – and how medium-sized companies, corporations or start-ups can not only benefit economically from partnerships, but also contribute to global sustainable development at the same time.
